Cranberry Oatmeal with Mixed Nuts and Chocolate Chips

A healthy protein oatmeal recipe to make for a delicious and wholesome breakfast, add some chocolate chips for a treat you will enjoy, you deserve it!!!

INGREDIENTS


  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • pinch of salt

  • 1 cup of water, non-dairy milk, or a blend of both

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberry

  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts (peanuts, almonds, and cashews)

  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Add oats and a pinch of salt to a pot. Add water and stir to combine. Heat over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed. You’ll know the oatmeal is done when all the liquid is absorbed and the oats are thick.

  2. Portion oats into a bowl and serve with dried cranberries and mixed nuts.


Variation Suggestion: Add chocolate chips and/or your choice of fruit on top if desired.
