Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

This creamy full of delicious flavor dish topped with chicken breast is the perfect pasta dinner for tonight to warm the soul.


 


Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

INGREDIENTS


8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 chicken breast cut in half

ground pepper to taste

DASH salt-free seasonings blend

Tamari soy sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

Bertolli Alfredo Sauce

2 large cloves of garlic minced

1/2 cup of green peas (frozen)

Parsley flakes (for toppings)

1/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese (optional)







INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and cook the pasta according to package directions.

  2. Add the frozen peas to low heated boiling water. Carefully pour the peas from the bag into the boiling water. Stir them gently and let the peas boil, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes. Once cooked, drain the water from the peas and set aside.

  3. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides. To get the rich color I added a small amount of tamari soy sauce. You can also use your choice of meat sauce.

  4. Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the oil. Cook chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Set aside and allow the chicken to rest.

  5. Add the alfredo pasta sauce and green peas to the cooked pasta, stirring occasionally for 4 to 6 mins.

  6. On a serving plate, add the alfredo pasta with the green beans and place the cooked chicken breast on top then sprinkle with parsley flakes. Enjoy 😁


ALTERNATIVE'S: Instead of chicken breast, you can substitute for shrimp or vegetable mix.


SUGGESTIONS: This is great for meal planning and can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
