Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

This creamy full of delicious flavor dish topped with chicken breast is the perfect pasta dinner to warm the soul

INGREDIENTS


8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 chicken breast cut in half

1 teaspoon ground pepper to taste

1 teaspoon DASH seasonings blend

1 tbsp tamari

1 tbsp olive oil

15 oz Bertolli garlic alfredo sauce

2 large garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup of green peas (frozen)

½ tbsp parsley flakes (for toppings)

1/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese (optional)


 

INSTRUCTIONS


  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil, and cook the pasta according to package directions.

  2. Add the frozen peas to low-heated boiling water. Carefully pour the peas from the bag into the boiling water. Stir them gently and let the peas boil, uncovered, for 2-3 minutes. Once cooked, drain the water from the peas and set aside.

  3. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides. To get the rich color I added a pinch of tamari sauce. You can also use your choice of meat sauce.

  4. Preheat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the oil. Cook chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Set aside and allow the chicken to rest.

  5. Add the alfredo sauce and green peas to the cooked pasta, stirring for 4 to 6 mins.

  6. On a serving plate, add the alfredo pasta with the green beans and place the cooked chicken breast on top then sprinkle with parsley flakes. Enjoy 😁


Serving Suggestion: This is great for meal planning and can be refrigerated for up to 3 days

Variation Tip: Instead of chicken breast, you can substitute for shrimp or vegetable mix.
